How can I secure my booking with you?
To secure your booking, I’ll need some details to complete the contract. An online contract will be
sent to you for signing, along with an invoice that outlines the service breakdown. A deposit is
required to confirm your date, and the final payment is due two weeks before your wedding.
Do you offer trial sessions?
Yes, I offer weekday trial sessions in the late morning. I recommend scheduling a trial after you’ve
chosen your outfit, jewelry, and wedding theme, as these elements help guide the final look we
create. Trials can be booked either before or after securing your date. However, please note that
dates can’t be reserved without a signed contract and deposit. If another client requests your date before you’ve secured it, you’ll be given 24 hours to confirm or release the booking.
Where do trials take place?
Trials are held at my home studio in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. This allows access to a wider
range of products and tools to help us perfect your look. Unfortunately, I am unable to travel for trial sessions.
Do I need to bring my own makeup to the trial or on the wedding day?
No, I’ll provide all the makeup you need. However, you’re more than welcome to bring along any
products you love, so I can understand your preferences.
Can I bring inspiration photos to my trial?
Absolutely! Bringing inspiration photos is encouraged, as it helps me understand the look you’re
envisioning. Please also review my portfolio to ensure my style aligns with what you’re looking for.
How do you handle specific skin concerns?
I’m experienced in working with various skin types and conditions, and I’ll tailor my products
accordingly. For certain conditions, like eczema, please continue using your prescribed creams,
and we’ll discuss how they can work under makeup. For active conditions such as conjunctivitis or
open wounds, I won’t be able to apply makeup for safety and hygiene reasons.
What if I prefer a very natural look and rarely wear makeup?
I understand that wearing makeup might feel different, especially if you don’t wear it often. My goal is to make you feel confident and radiant in real life, in photos, and throughout the day. Makeup for events may feel a bit heavier than you’re used to, but it’s designed to last and photograph beautifully. During your trial, we can adjust the intensity, and changes can be made on the day to ensure you’re completely happy.
What products do you use?
I use a variety of high-quality, professional-grade products including brands like MAC, NARS,
Makeup by Mario, Patrick Ta, Huda Beauty, and Laura Mercier. These products perform beautifully both in person and on camera, ensuring you look flawless throughout your event.
How long does makeup and hair take on the wedding day?
On average, it takes about 3-4 hours to complete your makeup and hair, though this may vary
depending on the complexity of the hairstyle.
Are lashes included?
Yes, I include strip lashes or half lashes with your makeup. If you prefer a more customised lash
look, I offer a bespoke lash service for an additional fee, which adds about 15-20 minutes to the
session.
Do you provide hair extensions?
I provide synthetic extensions suitable for most updos. For hairstyles requiring extra length or
volume (like half-up/half-down or all-out styles), I recommend purchasing human hair extensions
for the best result.
Will you travel to me on the day of the booking?
Yes, I can travel to your venue or home on the wedding day. For locations over 1.5 hours away,
overnight accommodation may be required.
Do you offer touch-up services throughout the day?
Yes, for an additional fee, I can stay for touch-ups. We can discuss the specifics once we
determine how long you’ll need me.
Do you offer services for the bridal party?
Yes, I can take on an additional 1-2 people, depending on time availability. I also make sure to be
available for the bride right before the ceremony to ensure everything is perfect for photos and
special moments.
Do you provide jewellery for your brides?
I don’t offer jewellery rentals, as I believe each bride should have a unique look. However, I can
recommend trusted vendors who offer rental services, allowing you to access their wider range that is continually updated so that you can mix and match pieces to create your own bespoke style.
Do you provide flowers for the hair?
I don’t provide flowers myself, but I can connect you with talented florists who specialise in bridal
hair flowers. They can guide you on seasonal options, and I’m happy to help ensure the floral style
complements your overall look.
Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?
Additional fees may include:
• Travel: Based on the distance to your venue.
• Accommodation: Required for locations over 1.5 hours away.
• Parking: If paid parking is necessary at your venue.
